I'm Richard Chao. I started at Glean scaling indexing infrastructure, then pivoted to building out the FDE org as the first engineer to empower the greater economy with AI.

I graduated from the M.E.T. Program at Berkeley, where I spent time teaching CS 189/182, making friends at Berkeley Consulting, and exploring research at Sky & BAIR.
